Emails from The Gamer

Below is the emails I have received recently from The Gamer. We still have not had our first date. I will also point out that he is the one with whom I spent 17 minutes on the phone with wanting to poke my eyes out. I have also included comments from friends. Yes. I do forward the "interesting" emails to friends. It happens. Oh, and it should also be pointed out that he is the same kid who called me, left me a message, and the next day, called and left another message saying he wasn't sure if I got the first one. This is not a problem when you know a person's phone is acting weird (ie: Kel), but otherwise, give me at least 48 hours to respond.

Hi Cyn,
How have you been doing? Did you have a nice weekend?
Toward the end of the week I began to feel sick and spent most of the weekend resting at home. On Saturday I spent time with my parents and we went out for a little bit, but I stayed inside all day on Sunday and got lots of rest. I'm still feel a little sick today so I'm going to try to take it easy again and not push myself.
I'm still reading the Golden Compass and have just gotten to the point where Lyra arrives in the North. I'm really enjoy the book and am looking forward to what further adventures Lyra faces in the other two books.
Hope to hear from you soon,

The Gamer

I forwarded email #1 to Anna, Kel & Nicole with this:
Just so you can see why i thought it was a painful 17 minutes.
xoxo

Anna's Response to email #1:
"...And then I had a cup of cofee. But at first it was too hot so I waited a little to drink it. I decided I wanted something to go with the coffee so I got a cookie, but then I thought I'll have a scone instead. Anyway, I still feel like I'm a little sick, so I'm going to take it easy. But I've heard sometimes you feel better if you just get up and move around so I'll probably go for a walk later. Or not. Maybe for a few minutes..."

My reponse to Anna's response to email #1:
And if you give a mouse a cookie, he'll ask for milk and a napkin.

Email #2, received Jan 15, 2008 11:11 AM (note, it has not been even 24 hours):

Hi Cyn,
I think I recently sent an email to you but I'm not sure if it went through. If you got the previous email you can disregard this message.
How have you been doing? Have you been feeling any better since the last time you wrote to me.
Over the weekend I felt sick and spent a lot of time resting. Fortunately I'm feeling better today so hopefully I'll continue to improve.
Hope to hear from you soon,
The Gamer

I forwarded this to the girls with:
I'm sorry, but I'm busy. I haven't had time to repsond. Anyone see a problem wtih this?

Nicole's Response to email #2:
Pahahahahahaha!!!
Can somebody say "restraining order"???
"Cyndi,
Why haven't you returned my messages? I love you, why won't you talk to me? Please right me back... did you not get my emails? Are you out of the country? Perhaps your cold got worse and you're in the hospital.. I better check the hospitals. Don't worry darling, I'm coming for you!!!!!!!!!!"

I peed my pants at work with that...

Anna's Response to Nicole's Response to email #2:
LMAOOOO!!!!! I think Nicole and I think alike. "Then I got a cookie, then my cold got worse, then I got better..." But look on the bright side, he spared you the repeat of the play-by-play of his day with his parents...
Also, not to sound judgemental, but let's face it I will. But really, what did you expect from a guy you met online with the name The Gamer? I mean seriously, who wouldn't go by "The G" to sound more well, desirable, studly, manly, normal...(I can keep going)? I think you should tell him you didn't respond because you got really sick and now have this rare condition that physically prevents you from communicating with guys that are boring.

My response to The Gamer for Email #2 sent Jan 15, 2008 2:13 PM:
Hey The Gamer.
Sorry it's taken me a bit to get back to you. Work has been incredibly crazy and by the time I get home, I'm exhausted.
I'm feeling better but still slightly sick. I'll get over it soon tho, I hope. Sorry you haven't been feeling super well either. Are you feeling better?

All right, I must get back to work. It's not getting done on its own. Ha ha.
Have a good day!
Cyn

Email #3, received Jan 16, 2008 1:58 PM, his response to my response to #2:
Hey Cyn,
I'm sorry to hear that you're still feeling sick. I began to feel much better yesterday and went for a workout at the gym when I got home last night.
Things have been going good at my job. A lot of new games have been arriving in our department, keeping us busy. What has been making your work so incredibly crazy?
I was thinking of sending you a text message sometime this week. Do you check your messages regularly?
Have a great day!
The Gamer

I didn't have a chance to forward that one to the girls, but I can't wait to hear everyone's responses!
